This may seem like a bit of a flight from MMU, but it was only about an hour’s flight from Daytona Beach in Dan and Madeline Dwyer’s Archer II. If you are ever within range, be sure to visit this beautiful little island located just off Georgia’s southern coast. This is where the wealthy and powerful came for R&R since colonial days. Today, it’s available to all. The island is easily seen by bicycle, which can be rented from the friendly FBO. Available is a map showing points-of-interest, e.g., historical sights, lodging, places to eat, etc. Do not pass up having lunch at the Club House.
